SO, MARY KEPT THESE THINGS LOCKED UP

IN THE CHAMBERS OF HER IMAGERY,

IN HER MIND.

AS A WOMAN WOULD KEEP PRECIOUS JEWELS IN A JEWEL CHEST.

BUT SHE DIDN'T JUST KEEP THEM LOCKED AWAY.

SHE TOOK THEM OUT AND TURN THEM OVER IN HER MIND.

            CHRISTMAS KEEPSAKES.

WHAT WOULD BE LOST IF WE LOSE CHRISTMAS?

WHAT IS GAINED  BY OBSERVING CHRISTMAS.?

ILL. -   FIRST TIME IN IRAQ.

NEW AND EXCITING TO THEM.

THINGS THAT TO US ARE OLD.

DON'T ALWAYS UNDERSTAND CULTURE AND CUSTOMS.

                                    STRINGING CRANBERRIES.

                                                POPCORN.

                                                            GERMANY, I BELIEVE.

                                                                        NEVER SEEN POPCORN.

                                                                                                            STRING THROUGH IT.

ASKING YOU TO REMEMBER

WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT CHRISTMAS  ?

                                                SPECIAL CHRISTMASES?

GOD GIVES US SO MANY GIFTS.

            AIR WE BREATHE.

                        FOOD WE EAT.

HE GAVE US TWO SERVANTS, WELL .  MORE THAN TWO.

                                    KEEPERS OF THE HOUSE.

ECCLESIASTES 12:

1 ¶ Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;

.

3 In the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strong men shall bow themselves, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those that look out of the windows be darkened,

.

5   . and desire shall fail: because man goeth to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets:

6 Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.

7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

NOTE VERSE 3

3 In the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble,

HE GAVE US A HOUSE.

HE GAVE US KEEPERS OF THE HOUSE.

TAKE THEM FOR GRANTED,

BUT IF YOU LOST ONE,

YOU WOULD REALIZE HOW VALUABLE THEY ARE.

AND HOW WELL THE OTHER ONE

            COULD ADAPT.

ANOTHER GIFT HE GAVE US CANNOT BE SEEN,

EXCEPT INSIDE THE MIND OF THE BEHOLDER.

I SPEAK OF THE GIFT OF MEMORY.

.                                   GOD GAVE THIS GIFT TO MAN

.  EVEN TO ANIMALS .   DOG.

MEMORY IS ONE OF GOD'S GREAT GIFTS.

            WITHOUT IT,

YOU WOULD LITERALLY HAVE TO LEARN

HOW TO TIE YOUR SHOES EVERY MORNING.

                        HOW TO START YOUR CAR.

                                                COTTON'S BROTHER DON TOLD HOW

THEY HAD A GOAT PULLED WAGON.

THEY WOULD TWIST THE GOAT'S TAIL

                                                TO MAKE IT GO.

                                                            COTTON CALLED THE GOAT'S TAIL

                                                            THE STARTER.

WITHOUT MEMORY,

YOU WOULDN'T KNOW WHERE THE STARTER WAS ON THE CAR.

EVEN WHEN IT DOESN'T FUNCTION WELL,

IT IS STILL A BLESSING.

Somebody said,

A short pencil is better than a long memory.

Even a bad memory is better than no memory.

MY MEMORY IS GOING TO GET BETTER.

MEMORY IS ONE OF THE FEW THINGS

THE DEPARTED TAKE WITH THEM INTO ETERNITY.

Luke 16:25

But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

1Co 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known

BY DIVINE DESIGN,

WE WILL FORGET SOME THINGS.

Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Heb 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Heb 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

WHEN WE HAVE PERFECTLY

THE MIND OF CHRIST,

AND NO CARNAL MIND AT ALL,

WE WILL NOT REMEMBER THE SINS OR OTHERS,

WHAT ABOUT  OUR OWN?

            POSSIBLY, TO APPRECIATE GRACE.

POSSIBLY NOT,  THERE IS NO MORE PAIN.

BUT REMEMBER GOOD THINGS,

REMEMBERING BLESSINGS.

            THAT IS A GIFT.

THROUGH THE MEDIUM OF MEMORY,

I AM ABLE TO REVISIT CHRISTMAS PAST

WHAT A TIME I HAD WITH MY MOM AND DAD,

I CAN STILL REMEMBER .   STOP

WE NOT ONLY HAVE MEMORIES,

            WE CAN MAKE MEMORIES.

                                    WE CAN BECOME MEMORIES.

Php 1:3 ¶ I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,

 2Ti 1:3 I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;

THERE ARE SO MANY THAT ARE IN HEAVEN TONIGHT,

YET THE LIVE IN MY MEMORY.

SO MANY PREACHERS

THAT HAVE BLESSED US.

ESPECIALLY PARENTS WHO TRAINED US.

PROVERBS  22:6

Train up a child in the way he should go:

and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

                                                            "OLD" is

02204.  Nqz  zaqen,  zaw-kane'

.; to be old:--aged man, be (wax) old (man).

IN CONCLUSION

De 6:10 And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not,

 11 And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;

12 Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

Ps 137:6 If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.
