GOD IS IN THE RESTORATION BUSINESS

David prayed in Psalms 51:12, "Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation." David knew the damage that sin had done in his life. He knew that he needed restoration from the Lord. Sin had robbed him of his joy. Only the Lord could restore this joy to him.

HOMES CAN BE IN NEED OF RESTORATION

A house is not a home, but we have all seen a house in need of restoration. Perhaps you know of an old ante-bellum home that has weathered many a storm and is weather-beaten and in bad shape. You may know of such a house where a person of means, perhaps a physician, has done a complete restoration inside and outside. There may even be a sign out front that reads, "This Home Restored by XYZ Construction Co."

Some homes need spiritual restoration. Long standing relationships seem to sag at every joint. They have lost their joy. A person of means, the great physician, has already paid the purchase price at Calvary's cross for each of our lives if we will but surrender the deed to Him. You can call on him in prayer to begin work at any time day or night and He will stay with the job until it is finished. I should warn that Satan's wrecking crew is always around close, attempting to knock down everything the Lord builds up. In spite of that fact, many Christians can testify to the quality of the Lords workmanship in their lives. Many Christians could put up a sign out front that reads, "This Home Restored by Jesus Christ."

HE CAN EVEN RESTORE A NATION!

No job is too large or difficult for the Master. No job is too small to receive His personal attention.

HE CAN RESTORE A CHURCH!

A Church can lose the joy of the Lord and need to pray the prayer that David prayed for the restoration of joy.

THERE IS HOPE FOR EVERYONE!

He cares about your need for restoration. Psalms 23:3 says, "He restoreth my soul." Many individuals have weathered severe storms and have suffered serious damage. They need restoration. If you are one of those people, Jesus cares about your condition. He'll begin work today, if you will only let Him.

God is not to blame for the damage you have suffered. Psalms 69:4 is a Messianic Psalm. He says there, "I restored that which I took not away." Blame the devil for taking it away. Blame yourself for giving it away, or throwing it away, but don't blame God. He said He will restore that which He took not away. The devil is a thief and a robber out to steal, to kill, and to destroy. He is very effective at what he does, but praise God, there is nothing he can take away that God cannot restore. Where sin abounds, the grace of God does much more abound.

Look to Jesus. When you do look to Him, the old veneer of pride will have to be stripped away so that the restoration can begin. Place yourself in His hands.

IF YOU ARE UNSAVED,
YOU DO NOT NEED RESTORATION.
THE UNSAVED NEED REGENERATION!

God does not do a refinishing job on the old carnal, unregenerate man. Jesus said that you must be born again. This is regeneration. It is truly a new birth, a spiritual birth, a new beginning. John 1:12 and 13 says, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name, which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." Place your trust in Christ today, call upon Him for forgiveness and salvation. Begin a new life.
